They dump fuel so they can safely land due to weight, as you guessed. In this case it was a cross-country trip, so the plane had a fair amount of fuel that needed to be offloaded.
I had a layover in Midway at maybe 7:30am once. Everyone — and I mean everyone — was drinking. Like, are you going to get the shakes between security and boarding?
That’s some JPay shit
“First thing you learn is that you always gotta wait.” Taken from the Velvet Underground about buying drugs, but I think it’s pretty applicable to everything.
I’m an English professor. I’m willing to overlook a lot of stuff in student papers as long as I can follow it to the basic point they’re making. Donnie’s not even at a level that understands the assignment, and he’s refusing to ask for help. I can assure you he’s not Pynchon, either — he doesn’t want the publicity.
I love Tearaway on Vita. Very creative use of all the handheld’s features (cameras, touch screen, rear touchpad, microphone, motion). The best bit is seeing your fingers bursting through the back and into the screen. The PS4 version of the game really shows how disappointing it is not to play on the Vita, even with vastly improved hardware.
This isn’t too exciting given the region, but I had a great-great-grandfather in the Appalachians who supposedly died in a domestic dispute. It was once mentioned, however, that said “domestic dispute” was actually my relative snitching on a bootlegging operation.
Pretending to break into my coworker’s car (with their permission) as if I were using a bump key. I was training someone else at a security job to look for this behavior because we were in an area with a ton of vehicle theft. Honda Civics frequently went missing this way. Easy to swap parts.
And rice makers!
I’ve used my Knipex 5” cobra pliers more than anything else in the toolbox, except maybe a torx set. Solid tools.
Gonna take the hit on this one: a Joe Rogan bro. You probably know what I’m talking about, but to be more clear: aggro “alpha male,” gym rat or has a weirdly intense workout routine, takes a bunch of supplements, ready to believe anything pitched as “they don’t want you to know this,” weird diets of meat, “edgy” humor that’s more nodding and agreeing with prejudices than being funny, etc. Oh and listens to Joe Rogan willingly.
My insurance bumped up the copay on primary care to make it less affordable than an urgent care visit, incentivizing us to get care with immense surcharges. But at least we can get a same-day appointment instead of waiting a month or two to see the most qualified and familiar person with our conditions. Fuck capitalism, as usual.
