Did you tried NymVPN ? I am curious if you can enter their mixnet from within China as they strongly advertise their product as censorship-resistant tech for freedom and activists.
NYM is a next-generation mixnet with a VPN product built on top of it. Obscura is a VPN that provide a first hop then send traffic to a Mullvad hop.
I agree on this with the exception of PIA.
It’s not the worst VPN you could choose but there is better options.
Well, with Kiwix I was able to download the whole english wikipedia with mid-res pictures on my 128GB USB Drive. I think the 600TB you’re talking about includes videos and high-res pictures.
Or maybe Miraheze but it doesn’t sem federated either
Hosting a wiki isn’t that expensive it’s basically texts and some lightweight pictures. The whole english wikipedia is around 109GB of data.
If you don’t feel confortable with CLI tools their is graphical front-ends for yt-dlp such as Open Video Downloader or stacher but using yt-dlp is always better
Zulip or Mattermost if you want basically a free (as in freedom) and open source alternative to Teams and slack But as you mention self-hosting isn’t really an option it can become expensive.
Maybe a mix of Signal and Jitsi Meet (there is several public free instances) if you want a good balance between privacy, price and efficiency
Maybe look at the kSuite from Infomaniak it’s not the best but might be a good balance too for your team.
Algorithmes aren’t inherently bad. The fact that they are opaque blackbox imposed to you by the plateforms so you get addicted is why they are bad. The day we have the choice between multiple client-side transparent algos it will be better.
You simply don’t get the usecase. I don’t want Pinterest to show me stuff that I’m into. I want it to show me similar pictures to build coherant yet creative moodboards.
I’ll go with Mafia II yes
Not sure if we can comment multiple games ^^’
As a young boy, I remember giggling nervously while I navigate the colorful chaos of Rayman 3, dodging the goofy Hoodlums that were both funny and a bit scary (especially the Knaarens) . Those gaming sessions are memories I cherish very much, one of the best game I ever played!
I’m pretty sure Anna’s Archive is backing up Sci-Hub, isn’t it ?
CryptPad or Collabora Office
Bluesky is not much better than X despite it claiming to
Every time I have to use Windows I am amazed how Microsoft is ruinning it. Ads, unconsisitent UI, bad UX forcing you to be part of their Microsoft365 services shit.
A friend of mine had his Desktop sync on a OneDrive account without really knowing why. And sometime the whole shit got desynchronized and it’s files and folders disapeard. The fix was to restart his machine while being connected to the internet :D
:/ Thanks for the report !
