Nah that’s not true, maybe for some people. GPUs are selling like hotcakes as are processors. Consumers are buying gaming hardware like it’s going out of style. I think that may be the case for younger gamers.

Ehhh. My experience in some bars was not like that. I had a couple where they where the bouncer clearly didn’t want me inside and I was told a place was closed several times when clearly they were not. It was just closed to me.

Yea but isn’t AMDs ray tracing performance severely crippled in general? I thought if you want to use ray tracing your far better of buying from team green.

There shouldn’t be any additional input lag. DLSS and frame gen have some but to most people it’s not noticeable since it’s like 10ms.

Sure it will. It will probably run like a 2080 TI or 3070 though. The ray tracing performance of AMD isn’t stellar. At least they got their shit together and got a AI rescaler that competes with DLSS.

Innovation has peaked? Didn’t we just get AI? Is that not one of the largest innovations to occur in recent time?

The problem I’ve always run into is steam big picture, games with launchers, resolution issues, display scaling for large screens (more rare now), no Dolby Atmos, poor HDR support, and general difficulties for other family members. Consoles are just far far more consistent with the experience than PCs, currently at least.

Why not both? I have a gaming PC for titles that are best played on the PC and the PS5 is for when I want to relax on the couch.
