it helps that linux can now run almost everything else now instead of almost nothing. the main thing is we have options now.
thank you based valve & community btw

kde has some impressive windows themes that are REALLY convincing
elementaryos is made for that sort of thing, its quite simple and friendly and you need to poke around it to get it to even be able to do more ‘advanced’ stuff. its among the most polished DEs ive seen design and user-experience wise.
and it is still linux so you can disable or otherwise restrict their user account from anything you don’t want them meddling with. like the settings app and stuff, try it out on a VM and you will get what i mean.
oh its based off of ubuntu lts so its solid
yall need dark mode extensions on yo browsers
i think id rather have the slightly worse option than to bother with accounts for every desktop app
i used to buy plenty from aliexpress. its generally pretty damn good.
… while making its story exactly the style they are making fun of in the most boring way possible. feels like watching a regular shonnen.
hey! just like the us have been doing to other countries for decades!
ironic if true.
you just need to do that once
and kernel-level anticheat. cant forget that one.
let the doctors and pharmacists do the work, please?
i think this is what everyone wanted here, but the system can’t provide it, so they are resorting to this kind of hackery.
if we consider alyx to be the third installment then we have hl3 already
at this point valve wont name any game hl3 because you just cannot live up to that hype
we got an email about them being unable to process payments
the clock is ticking for starlink in brazil and it would be so fucking funny if they had to stop operations here because of elon’s ego
this is why i switched from elementary. really good distro, but its based on ubuntu lts. think years instead of months. big oof.
i find that distros focusing on ease of use tend to not tolerate modding and prodding as well as the distros focusing on modularity and customizability.
i think its time to consider something like arch or gentoo when you are changing it around too much at the expense of some more maintaining.
also yeah fedora is really polished, i like it.
hey at least you know its not windows
aaaand thats why i like “newbie” distros like ubuntu mint fedora and such.
i want my computer to work without a hitch and without having to maintain the OS.
id imagine it doesnt work? i said its workable for non professionals because ive used it on wine for simple tasks, but my time working on photoshop was already over by the time i switched to linux.
alternatives exist now too
well duh. windows is the default everyone uses, no one needs to recommend it.
linux on the other hand is an obscure choice that may be better for that use case and may not be known.
