This is the right answer. There’s no point in trying, because it’s not about him getting a specific thing, it’s about him getting a kick out of people scurrying to meet his demands.
We got a deal that satisfied him with CUSMA. Now it’s “the worst deal ever”
Totally agree. “Make an outrageous demand” is one of the few tools in trumps repitoire.
Even if we did somehow ascede to it, he’d just come up with something new. The point is to have something to hang over us, not to actually get the thing.
It’s a valid tactic against those who feel shame. That group does not include the current US administration.
Hitler was defeated by a sit in after all
The short answer is “democracy”. If they win the election they’re cleared. The other option would be the public service disqualifying an elected member of parliament.
Its got flaws, no doubt, the news from the US this week is a great example. But in general it’s seen as the least bad option.
Maybe? I haven’t kept up to date. I subscribed awhile ago and canceled after they broke the site when I used ad blockers.
Honestly, as much as I agree with you on supporting Canadian media, the Stars website is such hot garbage I can’t recommend it.
And canceling is a whole multi step operation.
That’s their claim, yes. I’m skeptical personally, but that’s what the investigation is for.
I’ve been having the same problem. I’d love a drm free e-reader, but even if I found one finding drm free content is not easy.
I’m just buying analog books now. Less convenient in some ways, but at least I know what I’m getting.
Plus, it’s not like it would be hard to take the fight to them. I imagine appetite for an invasion would fade when American infrastructure became a target.
It’ll drain the reservoir in the middle and make the whole canal useless until it refills
It would be like a construction company replacing a team of carpenters with some people who took a weekend woodworking course.
It takes a special kind of clueless to think they would be remotely equivalent.
100% and even if they did it wouldn’t be communicated through the press. This is the loud mouth in chief “negotiating” in public again.
And you’ll often just be opted back in the next time there’s an update.
I don’t think there’s such a thing as an unbiased AI. They’re all biased based on the input data.
Something like this would be inherently subjective, it’s not a pure data question with a clear yes or no.
