You can do what you like and convince people to join you in whatever way you deem fit, but in my experience, they tend to shut down and stop listening (maybe it’s my delivery). The BT/Network thing is a really important one. Sometimes you can replace them with a more compatible one (like an Intel AX201 vs AX210), but sometimes companies will cut deals and get some weird Broadcom module that only works on Windows for one specific board version.

Since AMD has open source drivers, their cards tend to have better support for most things (like Wayland).
But in general, I think you can pick either and be fine. I have an old laptop with a GTX 960M, and it works great with Bazzite and the latest Nvidia drivers. My main desktop (RTX 3060ti) I haven’t yet switched, but the only distro that didn’t work on live media was MX Linux (it had problems with multiple monitors).
I like Arch. I also like Bazzite. I can’t decide which I want on my desktop, but I have a laptop that will forever be Bazzite.

The number of Assembly instructions needed to do similar things tends to be less on ARM, from my limited understanding. That leads to efficiencies.
I have generally negative feelings about big companies getting bigger, but from what I understand about the difference between instruction sets, the transition to ARM is a good thing.
