Crazy Tuesday… the day we eat at Crazy Joes Taco Palace.
Turning on the Bluetooth then I can find that mouse.
It’s all fun and games until some guy from the gym comes to battle you
I love the internet archive but it’s been an uphill battle all along since it seems they really didn’t have a lot of legal protection.
Here’s a four year old video by Lawful Masses (a copyright lawyer) on the origination of the case and how the law applies.
Yeah. It was horrible but literally “need to grow up fast” as a kind of pseudo protection from the demon that is pennywise.
The entire book is a series of horrors. Another story that hits just as hard but in a different way is Needful Things. Definitely an apt metaphor for how people can be cajoled and manipulated into doing heinous things.
It’s definitely messed up just like the old vampire in the body of a 13 year old in the Diaries of a Vampire series.
It’s fair to have an issue with it but what about all the other books?
I bet I can guess what they don’t like about them and that isn’t it
Jack stands too. But not harbor freight ones
Pretty good for anything that can kill you if it fails. Even beyond power tools.
So, for example, yes to drill. No to compressors, jacks, etc.
Exactly. And in such a scenario it becomes an issue for Kinkos
Issue here is that what’s in a safe deposit box isn’t also being shared/distributed. It is locked away.
If, however, they made copies of the contents of a box and put it in other boxes … and it came out somebody used that for CSAM then there probably would be some kind of liability.
Besides CSAM there’s also copyrighted material, etc which section 230 kind of covers but even then gets tricky since there’s a duty to respond to DMCA takedowns in order to get safe harbor protections.
Oh wow. I’m so dense. Good catch. If you’ll excuse me I’m going to chug more caffeine since I obviously need it.
It’s basically saying that it needs a 4 hour window for potential updates. Hence why it can’t be more than 18 hour difference.
Wait…wait… we need somebody from legal on this call
Derulo? More like JSON undefined.
It’s a joke
Ok. I’ve downloaded, tar and gunzipped the files for it.
Then did a make build and then make install. Now my system won’t start. What do I do?
Just a word of caution. Even if you have a valid fair use claim they have to be adjudicated and the legal costs can get pricey. Worse if you’re found liable.
Check out Lawful Masses on YouTube for plenty of examples of copyright trolls using this as a bludgeon.
