Mapy is a financial supporter of OSM, which isn’t free to develop btw. So they’re not leeching of FOSS labour, they’re helping to make it possible.

Sorry but this is just bs. The only important feature that’s behind a paywall is downloading offline maps for more than one country at the same time.
And services like this have to pay for the development and upkeep costs in some way, since they’re not selling your data like Google does. There’s nothing wrong with having a paid tier.
Regular OSM doesn’t have elevation data as well as many other info that mapy does provide. And the map visualisation is much better than any competitor IMO, especially for hiking maps.
It’s by far my favourite service for hiking maps, can highly recommend! For car navigation it’s definitely behind google, but they’re making progress
The verdict will stay in place even if she goes for an appeal. It can only be lifted if she actually wins the appeal but the chances of that are practically zero given the evidence.
I don’t really use Organic Maps, but mapy works perfect on mobile in my experience. One big difference is that Mapy mimics the look of traditional paper hiking maps, which makes it much more convenient to read. Organic Maps has more of a standard OSM look, making it less convenient when you’re using it as a hiking map.
Man, there are so many websites for European alternatives now, I’m losing track. Someone should make a site for that lol.
What are y’all favourite European alternatives sites?
Not sure about full membership at this point, but having our Canadian friends join in the EFTA / EEA would be great!
Microplastics also lower testosterone and are a significant cause for male infertility.
Does anyone know if the writing is any better than It Takes Two? My gf and I loved the gameplay in that game but the writing was just awful.
And its the first major movie completely made in Blender! An amazing free and open-source 3D modelling program from the Netherlands
That’s the problem with the two-party system in the USA, in a full democracy this dynamic wouldn’t happen. This is the achilles heel of american democracy and the downfall seems to have begun.
Another insane figure: wild mammals make up only 4% of all mammal biomass in the world, the other 96% is humans and our livestock. That 4% includes all whales, elephants, bears, etc.
No, OSM is free for everyone, doesn’t matter if you make profit off of it or not, so they don’t have to pay for anything. They’re choosing to support OSM to help it improve (which is also in their own benefit).
