I think that says AL(as in Albert, alphonzo, etc)
I could be wrong, but I don’t think it’s A.I.
Edit: nevermind I didn’t scroll down to the end where there is a disclaimer about A.I. usage.
So you’re right after all,my apologies.

I noticed that too. So gross.
The fancy card is just his way of getting the “right types” of people to immigrate to the US.
Aka filthy rich.
Why does he Capitalize Random Letters like I did when I was a Teenager with Big Emotions.
Elizabeth May’s laugh of incredulity mixed with actual amusement in the background is hilarious.

That was a fun read! Thanks for sharing. I especially liked this part:
Speaking of social media, you advocate for practising “corporeal” or embodied politics. That could mean attending a march in-person or voting with paper ballots, all of which is bad news for keyboard warriors. How online are you?
I see social media as kind of a grim necessity—that it’s basically evil and life is elsewhere. I post, but I don’t read comments. I don’t know what my Twitter password is. If you stay offline, it’s like treading water: you may not be improving yourself, but at least you’re not sinking. I want to remember that social media is a different, non-human realm that’s calling out to us all the time, but that we don’t necessarily have to listen to it.
Like Gollum with the ring.
That’s a funny analogy because a lot of people in the tech world are big Tolkien fans. In addition to controlling our attention, like the ring does with Frodo and Bilbo and Gollum, it’s also turning us from that nice Sméagol character into that Gollum character. I dare you to print this.
I gotta learn that lesson.
Loblaws labelled 35 per cent of all products online as Prepared in Canada.
…
“[Prepared in Canada] is not a really rigorous standard to meet,” he said.
Unlike a Product of Canada, which means virtually all (98 per cent) of its major ingredients, processing and the labour used to make the food product must be Canadian, there is no similar threshold for items labelled as Prepared in Canada
Marketplace shared its findings with experts who say grocery stores are trying to capitalize on the country’s wave of patriotism, noting that a vague definition of what makes a product Canadian is in the best interest of retailers, not shoppers.
Basically, it seems like we cannot trust the business to do anything in our best interest. We have to continue to do the work. Hopefully The CFIA will create a more rigorous standard for labelling in the near future.
Super cute design, and so much better than the multitude of AI beavers I’ve seen floating around.
Maybe his constituents are secretly trees?

Thanks Moe, I’m sure we’ll see all the “inflationary costs” drop significantly on April 1st, right?
Right??
What does Moe gain from these moves? He’s not being elected in the upcoming elections. Is it just to “Own the Libs”?
Ooh, Burn!
**Tried to share a gif, didn’t work.
Can we call on Andy Serkis to Narrate this please.
On Monday, prominent Democrats including the Massachusetts senator Elizabeth Warren demanded an investigation of possible criminal corruption involving Starlink, citing “the Federal Aviation Administration’s decision to cancel a $2.4bn contract with Verizon to upgrade air traffic control communications, and to pay … Musk’s Starlink to help manage US airspace”.
The SpaceX and Tesla billionaire denies conflicts of interest. Trump has said if conflicts are found, they will be addressed.
That’s like the fox promising to make sure the henhouse is safe.
I don’t know how there could not be a conflict of interest.
Turning Red was written-directed by a Canadian and set in Canada, so it’s at least Canadian adjacent.
I had no idea A Christmas Story was Canadian, but makes sense it would be.
I’ve only seen 5/51. Guess I’m going to have to start watching some movies!
I know I’ve seen at least a couple of these available on CBC Gem, if anyone else needs to catch up on these!
We also have to take into consideration who is paying the media… Postmedia, which publishes many Canadian papers, is owned by US hedge fund Chatham Asset Management, known for close ties to the Republican party.
We’ve become a society of instant gratification, to the point where having to wait a week for an online delivery feels like a hardship!
I dont know the solution either. As individuals we can try to not chose the “easy” over the “good”, allow ourselves a little bit of discomfort for the better good. Learn to live a little bit slower. I don’t know how to translate that to a whole society.
Just my $0.02 to add, I guess.
I’d visit Greece before the US even without a trade war!
I hate to be the one to break it to you, but…
