Companies supporting LGBQ matters is a good litmus test for society’s overall progress. Rainbow capitalism should be looked at with skepticism, but it does mean something.

Can I ask a sensitive question? This question is for LGBTQ+ people who actually work or worked at a company when it adopted or dropped participating in the program. Does the CEI actually have an effect on the company’s workplace tolerance or it is just something they do for appearances? Has a company that decided to drop participating become more intolerant or did they maintain the practices, but maybe considered the program itself an unnecessary expense?
Edit: One more question. If you’re a LGBTQ+ person who works or worked at a company with a good score. Did/does your experience match company’s score?
That’s the one.
I’m having trouble finding the article, but a while back, there was a detective who was investigating cop corruption wind up dead.
This isn’t the case I think I’m thinking of, but here’s one example.
Where does it say Disney is paying for it? If it was Disney donating the trips, it’s not really costing them much to do that.
If it was NYC businesses or tax payers, then yeah. They’re probably not getting much of a discount and the money could either have been spent on more productive activities or even just a closer theme park.
I mean, it’s their first accusation because they are there when it happens. They’re trying to get in front of the story and make noise so when the pictures of Epstein and Trump together get released, they can just hand wave it as Trump investigating Epstein even know there’s never been anything like that released.
I get why you would see someone calling it a joke and want to punish that because it was not funny and potentially dangerous.
Please define punishment in the context. Is criticizing Musk punishment?
But it can both be true that he was trying to make a joke, and that he was grossly irresponsible doing so.
What’s the point you’re trying to arrive at? Where he’s making jokes or making stochastic terrorist comments, I can criticize him either way.
You are telling me what i believe (that it wasnt a big deal)
Everyone is coming to that conclusion. If you think everyone is misinterpreting your comments, that’s because you are not a good communicator. I do not have the same problems as you.
Im saying i think he truly believes he wasnt being serious. I think he was being edgy and sarcastically accusing democratic elite of an assassination attempt.
You might think he’s being edgy. Hell, he might think(if he ever thinks) he’s being edgy, but out of the numerous people who blindly follow him, how many do you think need to take him seriously and take him up on the suggestion.
There are jokes you can make to a private group of friends that you can’t make to over a million people unless you really mean it. It doesn’t help that twitter has a short character limit on messages. You simply cannot have a nuanced opinion on that site and need to consider that when making posts there.
Jokes have setups and payoffs. Humor is the subversion of the expectation and Musk’s tweet has nothing resembling that.
Could they just have been holding their hand near their face and the shadow was playing tricks?
Mitt Romney slowly strapping a trap over the car roof mounted dog crate.
They don’t care. They are so deep in their cult, nothing can pull them out. If tomorrow, Trump came out, completely lucid, and admitted everything was a hoax, his supporters would just shift to another cult leader.
Also, at one point, they referred to themselves as Centipedes. They probably got tricked into it, but they still did it proudly. Calling them Magats isn’t much different.
It’s in the religion’s text. “Judaism” is complicated as it can either mean religion, culture or ethnicity/race, but they said “religion teaches”, so we can assume that they’re referring to the practicing religious category.
The one with the beanie.
The few times I posted that slur, it was with the full context of the speech. I have had my comment deleted, but responded with that exact link, which stayed up. I too, would be suspicious of its use without any context and mods might not have the time to check each user’s comment history to see if they’re a bad actor.
My reasoning is is that I don’t want to have to risk arguing why I should be allowed to say the N word, any N word each and every time I want to post this speech. Of all places, my comment was deleted on reddit’s /r/badcopnodonut in regards to Mayor of NYC, Eric Adams Tough on Crime stance a while back.
Maybe other forums and communities wont filter out this version of the N word, maybe not. Linking directly to a University’s webpage of the speech cuts out a lot of the possible head bashing.
Personally speaking, I think the slur could be used against all those “temporarily embarrassed millionaires” regardless of their skin color.
Single serving containers for food have their place, but there’s nothing that can’t be stored in either wax paper, aluminum, or glass(in that order). Aluminum is probably the best balance between recyclability and weight(fuel need to transport . You can even make aluminum “bottles” that fit in preexisting vending machines.
Fixed. It was a long day at work.
