Yes omg I love that game and that’s a thing I always found particularly unique to it. I’m so happy to see someone else point it out.
Hi just a dude who is tired of seeing the enshitification of the internet because of for-profit companies.
J’parle français aussi vu que j’suis Québécois. ⚜️
Ну тоже Русски, но Слава Украине! 🇺🇦

Okay so technically, Montréal is about the mountain that is in the middle of the city.
Mont-Réal (Réal meaning Royal in Catalan, actually name of the mountain being Mont-Royal) Mont = Mount Réal/Royal = Royal (found this Wikipedia article about the word which is also a name for people in Québec https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Réal_(given_name) )

Daelsky@lemmy.cato Canada@lemmy.ca•Where can one buy a Canadian-made Canadian flag?English2·29 days agoIn Québec, you can ask your provincial deputy for a Québec flag and you can ask your federal deputy for a Canadian flag all free of charge.
I did that for a Québec flag about a year ago and I received it pretty quick. It’s the Projet de loi 592
There is a law for the Canadian flag too (can’t remember it tho) but you can do that as it is a services by our tax payer money.
EDIT: Btw the quality of the flag is really good.

Daelsky@lemmy.cato Canada@lemmy.ca•Sales of US goods ‘rapidly dropping’ at Canadian grocery storesEnglish4·29 days agoThey use waste water to grow their food sometimes. Because of the lack of water, they do very simple extraction of the waste (physical and a little bit of chemical, but not biological) and thus the chances of bacteria such as E. coli are very high in their farms. That’s why they use so much pesticides as well.
That’s one of the reasons I’ll never buy American bio food, I don’t trust the water they use to be safe.

Daelsky@lemmy.cato Technology@lemmy.world•New survey suggests the vast majority of iPhone and Samsung Galaxy users find AI useless – and I’m not surprisedEnglish81·30 days agoI’m on my iPhone 12 since it came out in sept 2020 (I bought it on Halloween 2020 lol) and apart from battery health being 77%, I have NO reasons to upgrade and even then, I’ll change the battery when it gets to 70% and… that’s it.
Phones just aren’t exciting anymore. I used to watch so much phone reviews on YouTube and now they are all just… the same. Folding phones aren’t that interesting for me. I saw that there is a new battery technology, but that’s like the only new fun feature I’m interested in.
Most performance upgrades aren’t used in the real world and AI suuuuucks
Daelsky@lemmy.cato Canada@lemmy.ca•Sales of US goods ‘rapidly dropping’ at Canadian grocery storesEnglish4·30 days agoI read a paper recently while doing some research in my field. In Québec, a majority of food issues such as bacteria and unwanted contamination comes from the US while it’s a minority of the food that we import.
I’m on my phone and I’m pretty tired to find the source, but I read that about 6 months ago
Fuck the GAFAM + Musk rat.
