My expectation is it will follow the trend of getting worse so meeting mine should be an easy enough bar. For real though if they can just make it feel like an alien world and not medieval with magic I’d be at least content. In Washington alcohol is so expensive that any reasonably sized party of alcoholics it’s cheaper to drive across the entire state to buy in Idaho (forgive this disaster of a sentence structure I’m awake like 5hr early because of cats)

I used to laugh at him yeah but he’s managed to fuck up his kids with weird right wing capitalist stuff so it’s less funny now

According to my brother, the real issue is that there is too much regulation and it is stifling the ability of ethical companies to break into industries 🙄

We’re midway through passing the blame torch. Soon they’ll drop the millennial part and it’ll just be “gen Z is killing an expensive or shitty industry how could they!”

My favorite tactic used by several of the coffee shops near me is they start slowly turning the music louder. People naturally start leaving once it’s too loud to think or talk. Place I used to work at we’d turn off half the lights and everyone would just show up at the register no confrontation needed. People were fine with it a vast majority of the time but occasionally there would be someone who asked us to turn the lights back on so they could keep shopping

Unity employee here, idk anything specific about the departments that handle this I wouldn’t even know what their name is. With that caveat, I will say that all the layoffs last year going into this year, changing CEOs, and the competition between big company beurocracy and the dying breath of small company culture, a lot of departments are behaving erratically. I wouldn’t be surprised if nobody internally has a clear answer why this was banned but others aren’t. Some workers may legit be trying to help but their hands are tied for corporate or maybe even legal reasons, it could be people trying to keep their heads down and close tickets quickly to keep metrics up in the hopes they’re less likely to be fired. I think you all know this already but please don’t be too hard on the workers we’re doing what we can but it’s a corporate mess right now
