Just a friendly reminder that American immigrants to the EU are not part of the boycott.

Our small American BBQ restaurant is actually around because of our neighbors - tourists in the summer are great, but it was our neighborhood that supports us during the off season & especially during COVID.

also…ribs are delicious

I wish I could immigrate to the EU. Sadly afaik I’m considered completely worthless by the EU governments. Yay for being trans. Yay.

Edit: to explain, I don’t have any marketable skills. I have some disabilities. So I’m stuck in the US as a trans person. No one’s gonna take someone who has disabilities, and the fact that I’m trans means the longer I live in the US, the more likely it’ll be that I’ll be hauled off to El Salvador or Guantanamo.

Edit 2: on top of that, if they successfully ban gender affirming care in the US, which I bet they will, I’m not even sure I’m gonna bother trying to get refugee status anywhere. I’ll probably just put a bullet through my head. I’m no one special, why would anyone want me, a worthless American?

Welllll in Spain you just need your doc to start you on gender affirming care and your info is legally changed.

Our son (who was our daughter) has been through the process, and it is amazing.

He may never get his name legally changed in the US because you must apply in person in SC and that shit ain’t happening.

HERE is a link to escape.

You can get out, and give it a chance before you make a permanent choice.

Just do you know, this link was given to us from someone who left the US to live abroad and ended up in Ireland using this link to get started (with nothing), they eventually got to a regular job (quite a few years ago but still around the same area) and recently connected with our family and our oldest son has now moved there to that same job and, for him, is an amazing hit to get his life in order to live on his own.

I cannot tell you how amazing the people of Ireland are, there was even a retired couple who offered him a place to stay-and we only knew them for an afternoon!
