The attorneys I’ve heard talk about the subject say to crack the window just enough to pass over your information and to not engage with the officers, besides telling them you’re evoking your fifth amendment right to remain silent and not answering questions.

It’s simpler in different ways. Understanding how to play the game is easier now, and modding is a cake walk compared to what it used to be (I wrote a mod for repairing equipment that got popular, which is almost identical to what they ended up implementing), especially adding custom blocks.

Understanding what to do is a lot harder. The dangerous stuff I caves that you can’t run near or whatever, for example. Good luck figuring that out without the wiki. It used to be you’d punch a tree and then start mining. There was a lot less stuff to figure out. Sure, you needed to look up the optimal layer for diamonds if you wanted to optimize, but it wasn’t required. Recipes you also used to have to look up, which was always dumb. Some recipes make sense, but especially as the game grew there’s no way you could try all the combinations of items to figure out recipes. I still think it still works the same in vanilla somehow, but I always install a mod for that, especially since it’s so much worse now and mods multiply it.

I don’t know if that’s good honestly. Maybe it’s just nostalgia, but I think the simplicity of the earlier game was part of the appeal. Try playing it now. There’s so much stuff that I don’t know what is happening half the time. I’ll play it a bit every few years with friends, but every time it feels like they’ve taken things too far. Is anyone actually asking for more content?

The purpose would be to make it so the act of ramming is what causes them damage. Sure, they could actively attack the Chinese vessels, but it’d be a lot easier to claim no fault if the Chinese ship runs into you and that causes it to be damaged/destroyed.

I think having some hollow tipped spikes under the water line that detach and leave an inlet pipe in the Chinese ship could be a good idea. Explosive charges could be another option, but at what point is that an active or passive effect?

Read the article? “NASA’s Parker Solar Probe and the European Space Agency’s (ESA) Solar Orbiter, when they coincidentally lined up to observe the same solar wind stream…” They both happened to capture data about the same event, which allowed them to combine the information to get better data. It’s not weird that they collaborated, but it was unexpected that these two missions did in this case.

You’ve got plenty of replies already, but I don’t see one saying this. You do not have a requirement to be nice to the cops. You have to identify yourself in most states, and you have to provide license and registration. You do no have to (nor should you) answer questions or be polite. The reason they ask questions is to get you to contradict other statements or to otherwise incriminate yourself. Their job is not to protect people. It’s to arrest people. It’s shitty, but that’s the world we’re in. We should not defend the state agents who are given this much power over us. It is wrong and indefensible.

You’re part of the problem. Why should cops have this power over us? I bet you like to say stuff about liking small government and talk about how bad tyranny is too, and somehow don’t see how those beliefs contradict your support of cops having total power.

Switch is only exclusive from PC if you care about legality. The Switch emulators are quite good.

More importantly, PC has significantly more and better exclusives. Factorio, Dwarf Fortress, Ostranauts, and Squad off the top of my head that I’ve been playing lately. There are so many incredible games, frequently that are $20-40, that will never be on a console. They’re never advertised as “PC exclusives” because there’s no marketing budget to push that stupid concept, but they are. People always talk about which console to buy because they have better exclusives, but any reasonable person would choose a PC if they cared about that.

I want to live in the world where it’s not wrong for a campaign to sell buttplugs. What a great world that would be, where sexuality isn’t some evil presence to be hidden away. If that ever happens, that candidate probably has my vote.

No, it isn’t. The Articles of Confederation are what we had first before deciding it had too many flaws and ditching it for the new constitution in 1789. (Note: this is 6 years after the Revolutionary War ended, and 14 years after it started.)

There’s no reason we can’t or shouldn’t do the same again now. The original writers clearly weren’t shy about pointing out the flaws, and anyone else defending the current constitution as if it shouldn’t be torn to shreds is not following what the founders wanted for us.

Sure, this is different in that we don’t specifically have a Minecraft live action movie yet. It’s one of the most successful IPs though. It’s not creative. It’s just some rich people seeing a popular IP and likely making a shitty generic movie in it with big name actors. We want to see new creative things in new IPs, not just the same few IPs everywhere.

Using a different version of WINE/Proton could work. It may also depend on some extra utilities you need to install on your WINE prefix (Wine tricks is the tool to use for this). If that doesn’t work, the almost guaranteed to work option is a virtual machine running Windows. This comes with a small performance hit, but that may not be a concern.
